A parrot will announce Buccaneers NFL Draft pick

As much as some of us get hyped up for the NFL’s annual Draft—which gets underway this Thursday—many of you think it’s for the birds.

And after what I am about to say, you’re officially right.

Because the NFL’s annual telecast may be exciting the first day as every team puts out their best educated guess.

But they need to find other ways by the time Day 3 rolls around.

And that’s just what the NFL has done. How so? When teams announce their Day 3 draft picks on Saturday, one of the highlights will be the Tampa Bay Buccaneers selection.

Because how else would a pick befitting a pirate be made then by having a parrot will deliver the pick?

Yup…according to an NFL report a parrot named Zsa Zsa, from the Florida Exotic Bird Sanctuary north of Tampa, will make that pick.

And it doesn’t stop there. Members of the gold-medal-winning U.S. men's Olympic curling team will announce the Minnesota Vikings' picks at the St. Paul Curling Club!.

And the San Francisco 49ers' picks will come from Lucasfilm, where Ron Howard, Star Wars characters including Chewbacca, Stormtroopers and RD-D2 and the SFPAL 49ers prep flag football teams will make the announcements.
