Mayor Gimenez Wants To Honor Demonstrators In Downtown Miami

Monday morning, as more and more news about protesters in both Broward and Miami-Dade counties was released. We learned that a group of peaceful protesters stopped others from looting the CVS that's across the American Airlines Arena.

In a press release, Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez said that he looks to honor demonstrators who stopped possible looting in Downtown Miami. Mayor Gimenez added that he wants to meet and commend the demonstrators who kept other protesters from breaking into the CVS. Anyone who can identify the people responsible for keeping the peace as they, themselves, properly exercised their right to assemble and protest, please reach out to the Mayor's office via social media on the Mayor's Facebook page Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez, or on Twitter @mayorgimenez.
