The Democrat nominee for governor is in South Florida.

Charlie Crist held an event in West Palm Beach today to blast Governor DeSantis, saying the Republican is to blame for the property insurance crisis.

"Everyday Floridians can no longer afford to live in Florida as prices go up and up under DeSantis. He's ignoring the affordability crisis he created and trying to district you with endless culture wars."

Crist says that instead of solving problems, DeSantis creates problems. He accuses the governor of "attacking women and families, teachers and children, immigrants and Black people, parents and LGBTQ."

The former Republican governor broke out a new catch phrase to take aim at his political opponent.

"Ron plays politics, you pay more. That's the DeSan-Tax."

As for the special session called by Desantis to tackle the property insurance crisis in the state, Crist says nothing got done.

Soon after Hurricane Ian, the governor said he'd likely call another special session.
