"Turtle Reef" in Boca Raton is a famous dive spot for this local area. It received its name because from April to August, it is the home of numerous sea turtles. The guys over at "Sink, Florida, Sink", a popular dive page shared this video yesterday of the sea life making their way back to the reef! The reef had all the sand washed out of it during Hurricane Irma last year so marine life is slowly, but surely returning to the area. The guys say that the spot is definitely worth checking out though! Especially if you are a diver!
This dive site is a 5-minute walk north of the Deerfield Beach pier. The reef is 600 feet from shore and it's depth ranges from 13-18 feet. The reef is a busy boating area so a dive flag is required for both scuba diving and snorkeling.
Is this an adventure you'd be willing to embark on? Let us know how it goes!
