Police in Fort Myers, Florida took one for the team for the greater good. An 18-month-old black bear had been seen roaming the streets, and fortunately the cops had the ultimate weapon at their disposal.
Using Krispy Kreme donuts, they were able to lure the 250-pound bear into the waiting arms of the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission, where they were able to take it to a refuge that’s much safer to roam around in.
This seems to happen quite a bit over on the west coast of Florida. I did a quick search on Youtube and found the video below from 2018 of another bear being captured with the help of waffles.
