When I was a kid, my cousin Brandon told me a story of how his dad jumped a rising drawbridge. We were 8 or 9 and he was totally lying.
A man was in Detroit actually did it. And he got arrested.
Police say he thought it was a good idea to jump his car over a rising drawbridge. The drawbridge operator Andre Locke said, “I looked, I said, ‘No he ain’t.’”
Yes, yes he did.
Police said the driver is suspected of being under the influence of using “whippits.”
Locke aw the whole thing happen in front of him and hit the emergency stop so the bridge would stop rising.
The man-made it over the bridge but blew out all four of his tires and crashed into the gate on the other side.
