In the ‘Back To The Future’ universe, it’s iconic, just ahead of Doc Brown’s train and behind the time-traveling DeLorean.
The black 1985 Toyota Xtra Cab SR5 that Marty lusts after – and eventually owns, once the present timeline has been altered – is being auctioned off by Mecum Auctions in Chattanooga next weekend.
The downside? It’s not one of the two trucks used in the movie…it’s a perfect replica, down to the KC Daylighter auxiliary lights, rollbar and a few unexpected extras fans will recognize – a Mattel hoverboard, self-lacing sneakers, and a copy of ‘Gray’s Sports Almanac’.
