Matthew Cole is kinda upset.
The British man was sent pictures by the authorities alleging he parked in a handicapped space at a London post office and said he was being fined $85 as a result. One problem…the pictures only show that he was parked in a space that was next to a handicapped space, with only the shadow of his car crossing the line.
He appealed the fine and authorities rejected it, so he’s appealed again. A spokesperson for the Lewisham Council said Cole’s initial appeal was rejected because “he didn’t give a reason for challenging it,” but says they’re now looking into the situation. They content the spot he was parked in was also a handicapped space, yet there was no signage to indicate it.
