Elyse Monroe considers herself a plus-size teen. And when she set out to get a dress for her prom, she looked around and realized that she did not have many options. That's why she decided to drive six hours to the Juicy Body Goddess Boutique in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The store’s owner is Summer Lucille, and she helped the shy teen try on several dresses. Summer documented the fun using the camera on her phone. Finally, Elyse thought that she had found the right dress, but it was $700 and her budget was only $400.
At the register, Summer shocked Elyse and her family and by telling them the dress would be free. The video of the touching moment has been viewed over 14 million times and led to more than $12-thousand in donations from people wanting to support the next girl who needs a dress she can’t afford. How awesome is that??!??
